
Gray Hill
Altitude: 1805 m a.s.l.
A prominent and rocky peak in the main ridge of the Western Tatras. It is considered one of the most beautiful peaks in Slovakia with an exceptionally rich and diverse limestone flora. It consists of dolomites, limestones, and many interesting rocky formations in its western ridge, known as the rocky town of Radové skaly, which are secured with fixed chains.
The starting points for the ascent are Huty or Zuberec. The red marked trail leads from Huty through Bielu skalu (forester's lodge) and the aforementioned Radové skaly (3 hours), while the yellow hiking trail leads from Zuberec through Ostrý grúň to the saddle of Pálenica and from there on the red trail to Sivý vrch (3 hours), or another route on the yellow trail to Bielu skalu (forester's lodge) and then on the red trail through Radové skaly to Sivý vrch (4 hours). The summit offers beautiful panoramic views of Salatín, Spálená, Pachoľa, Baníkov, Príslop, Baranec, and Ráztoku.
